How do I obtain a copy of a Police Report

Copies of police reports are generally available within five business days after the incident has been reported.  Requests may take an additional 7-10 business days to process depending on the circumstances of the request.  Click here for a records request form and follow the instructions on the form and return it to the police department for processing.  The police department administration is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and closed on all major holidays.  There is a cost associated for copies of police reports.  The cost for current reports is $5.00.  Be prepared to present proper identification when requesting copies of some types of reports.  Call the police department at 816-537-5020 ext. 111 to verify that your report is available.
