Greenwood Voting Polls


The last day to register to vote for the April 4, 2017 election is March 8, 2017.

Registration Requirements

To register to vote, you must be:

~18 years of age or older; A person may register at 17.5 years of age.  You must be 18 years of age on or before the    election date to be eligible to vote.
~A U.S. Citizen
~A Missouri resident. / A resident of Jackson County (excluding the city of Kansas city) or Cass County
~A Greenwood resident for local elections.

  • Drivers License
  • Birth Certificate
  • Missouri ID
  • Native American Tribal Document
  • Proof of United States Citizenship
To vote in an election, you must be registered before the fourth (4th) Wednesday prior to the election.

(Print and mail to: Jackson County Board of Election Commissioners, 215 N. Liberty St., PO Box 296, Independence, MO  64051 or for Cass County mail to: Cass County Election Authority, 102 E. Wall, Harrisonville, MO  64701)
Registration can be done by mail, this is considered a Postcard registration and although registered, the voter will not receive a Jackson County Voter ID card until after the voter shows I.D. at the polls when voting.
